What is Oral Medicine?
Oral Medicine is a dental specialty representing the interface between Dentistry and Medicine. Oral Medicine specialty deals with mouth and facial problems that could be related to systemic diseases and not directly related to teeth. These problems may involve oral skin problems related to dermatological/skin diseases, Jaw joint pain, mouth and face pain not related to a dental pain, Oral cancer, and snoring and sleep related dental problems. FEES
As Oral Medicine is a dental specialty, there is no Medicare rebate for consultations at our centre. Fees are only partly rebatable through private health insurance. We are unable to advise on the rebate that you will receive for your treatment and it is recommended that you contact your Private Health Insurance Fund prior to your appointment to ascertain the rebate amount. Full payment for all visits is required on the day and may be paid by cash, cheque, Eftpos or credit card (Visa and Mastercard).
